Gyeongbokgung Palace is the first palace of the Joseon Dynasty.
It is located on the north side of Bukaksan Mountain.
In front of Gwanghwamun, the main gate is a wide Yukjo Street (now Sejong-ro),
which is also the center of the Wangdo Hanyang (Seoul) city plan.
It was founded in 1395 by King Taejo's Yi Seong-gye.
It was burnt down by the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, but was reconstructed in 1867.
The Junggeon Gyeongbok Palace, led by Heungseon Daewongun,
was a magnificent view of the 500-member building.
Inside the palace, political facilities for the king and officials, living spaces for the royal family,
and sponsoring spaces for relaxation.
It is also a complex place where many small palaces are gathered again in the palace,
including the queen's Junggung, the king's Donggung, and King Gojong's Geoncheonggung.
Geunjeongjeon by clearing out most of the buildings such as a small portion of central buildings
in the Japanese occupation, however, left, and The Old Governor-General Building in Seoul in the palace itself
go away. Fortunately, since 1990, the restoration project has been carried out,
demolishing the Governor-General's building and restoring members of Heungnyemun Gate,
and restoring the sedimentation of kings and queens, the palace, Geoncheonggung and Taewonjeon.
Gwanghwamun - Heungnyemun - Geunjeongmun - Geunjeongjeon - Jeongjeon - Gangnyeongjeon
- The central part connecting Gyotaejeon is the key space of the palace, constructed symmetrically
according to the geometric order. Except for the central part, however, buildings were arranged asymmetrically,
bringing together the beauty of change and unification. At Gyeongbok Palace, the center of the capital city
of Seoul and the foremost palace of Joseon, let's feel the essence of the royal culture
of the high-altitude and dignified.
